Sir Antibiotic use can certainly bring an imbalance in gut mircobiome which can cause you small or big digestive issues. I would suggest you to take a good probiotic supplement (containing maximum number of strains + high CFU  )for 2 weeks. If your issues persist or worsen seek professional advice.

Based on the symptoms you've described - itching, pain around the anal area, and occasional bleeding when scratching the area - this could potentially be a case of hemorrhoids or another anorectal condition. Opinion: 1. Antibiotics and Anorectal Issues: - The high-dose antibiotic treatment you recently received for pneumonia could have disrupted the natural balance of gut bacteria, which can sometimes lead to anorectal problems like hemorrhoids or anal fissures. - Antibiotic use can also cause diarrhea or constipation, which can further aggravate any existing anorectal conditions. 2. Hemorrhoids or Anal Fissures: - The itching, pain, and bleeding you're experiencing are common symptoms of hemorrhoids (swollen veins in the anus or lower rectum) or anal fissures (small tears in the anus). - These conditions can be exacerbated by straining during bowel movements, which can occur due to changes in bowel habits related to antibiotic use. Next Steps: 1. Schedule an appointment with a gastroenterologist or a colorectal surgeon for a proper evaluation. - They can perform a physical examination and potentially order additional tests, such as a anoscopy or sigmoidoscopy, to diagnose the underlying cause. 2. In the meantime, you can try the following self-care measures to help alleviate your symptoms: - Apply over-the-counter hydrocortisone creams or ointments to the affected area to reduce inflammation and itching. - Use over-the-counter stool softeners or fiber supplements to help prevent straining and constipation. - Soak in a warm sitz bath, which can help reduce discomfort and promote healing. - Avoid scratching or irritating the affected area, as this can worsen the condition. 3. If the symptoms persist or worsen, do not hesitate to seek medical attention, as more specialized treatment, such as prescription medications or even surgery, may be required in some cases. It's important to address the anorectal issues promptly, as they can become chronic and significantly impact your quality of life if left untreated. Working closely with a gastroenterologist or colorectal specialist can help determine the underlying cause and provide appropriate treatment.
