Hello,
Staring at a bright screen for long durations is a strain on the eye, and is not very healthy for it.
I am assuming you work in the IT sector, and so it wouldn't make much sense to advice you to avoid looking at a screen for long hours;
but what you can do is,
-Use a screen dimmer / screen filter
-Avoid working in a dark room
-Close your eyes and give it a break every half hour or so.
