Is this serious? Should I go to the ER?!

Asked for Female, 22 Years

I ruptured my ear drum on 1/14 in Iceland. Ear kept filling with pressure, later it began to make weird noises and fluid/ blood started to pour out. I did a ton of flying Europe and noticed a lot of changes in hearing. It slowly began to heal, but on my last 7 hour flight to the U.S. on 1/26 I got a sinus/ear infection. Dr prescribed me Ipratropium Bromide Nasal Solution & Amoxicillin tablets - said symptoms should be relieved by third day, but fourth day & still can't hear/snot is still green

You seem to be suffering from infection of the middle ear secondary to viral upper respiratory tract infection. Usually it will resolve once you complete your antibiotics. Since already appropriate treatment is given you need to continue with the same. Steam inhalation is also beneficial
