Is tetanus shot required or not
I fell on plain road on 26th September, 2024 and got a minor scratch, although I was wearing jeans and jeans didn't tore so nothing came in contact with the road.
I got my previous tetanus shot on 25th August, 2021
and today is 3rd October, 2024.

You need a Tetanus vaccine shot.
It was a roadside accident which is more dangerous as far as Rabies is concerned.

Since you had your last tetanus shot on August 25, 2021, which is just over 3 years ago, you are still within the recommended time frame for tetanus protection. Tetanus boosters are generally recommended every 10 years unless thereâs a high-risk injury, such as a deep or dirty wound, or exposure to soil, rust, or animal waste.
For clean, minor wounds, a tetanus booster is recommended only if your last shot was more than 10 years ago.
For dirty or deep wounds (involving soil, dirt, or rust), a booster is recommended if your last shot was more than 5 years ago.

As per Guidelines..If you are completely immunized as a child and took a booster dose of tetanus toxoid within 5 years of current incident..There is no need of another booster dose now..For the current wound..Keep the wound clean and dry..No further ointments or antibiotics indicated as of now
