Yes...one of the biggest cause. But sometimes due to external factor also.
Body excretes waste through anus, urine, SKIN, lungs and other small openings like ear nose etc...unused digested food are excreted through these organs, so indirectly or directly skin diseases are related with gut. Also what we eat we build same.
Next Steps

Pitta and rakta dosha works in allignment with each other.... When an individual has pitta dushti... Digestion and metabolism is affected ... Simultaneously rakta dushti happens ... Rakta dushti can lead to skin related issues
See the vitiated Dosha moves from kostha (aamashay )to shaka (periphery ,skin ) when you will take unwholesome food it will pollutes the 3 dosha along for example pitta is vitiated pitta is resides in blood (rakta dhatu) as aashrey ashryi bhav
So blood circulates all over the body vitiated pittaj pollutes the blood and take sthan samshrey at a perticar site and produces skin diseases
Those who are saying all skin diseases are not related to stomach they don’t have proper knowledge of Ayurveda as dr Shivani chaudhary said
So kindly don’t listen to these types of peoples who can’t clear your doubts
Next Steps
Take Ghandrav hastadi tail 40-50 ml with 1/2 cup of hot water or milk weekly twice only night time after 2 hrs of your dinner
And take rakhta shodhaka medicines
