Glycomet (metformin) is commonly continued safely into early pregnancy for women who were taking it for prediabetes, and most gynaecologists keep it going rather than stopping it abruptly once pregnancy is confirmed.
Next Steps
Please confirm with your gynaecologist as soon as possible, so they can review whether to continue glycomet, repeat your sugar levels, and start your prenatal supplements.
Health Tips
Please don't stop or change the dose yourself. Contact your doctor sooner if you notice bleeding, cramping, or persistent nausea.
