Is anxiety disorder or Gerd comes first
I am having shortness of breath breath from last 2 months. Did ecg , chest xray. Dr. Said its anxiety. Then 3 weeks back had severe gas attack and stabbing feeling in chest. I n taking antacid for that. Gastro said its gerd. Currently i sometimes feel shortness of breath and sometimes stabbing pain in chest. These both symptoms eases with burping. I don't know what is causing what. Is it gerd or anxiety???

Hi, Yes, it looks like anxiety and episodes of panic attacks. Stress and unexpressed emotions can cause Anxiety. Anxiety is a very common part of our life. We should know how to deal with it and learn coping skills. Anxiety can also cause lot of worries and lead to gastric problems, overthinking, restlessness, irritability, sleep disturbances, low confidence, low self esteem continuous negative thoughts, constant worrying. We humans are different from each other, no human is perfect hence we all have our own limitations. Maybe you are a sensitive personality. Sensitive personality can have less tolerance or capabilities to face emotional stressful condition. Hence they might suffer lot of body symptoms like gastritis etc. Sometimes long-term gastritis can also lead to Anxiety episodes. Hence in your case, detailed history and evaluation can help to find the cause, what lead to what?
