Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is a type of hair loss condition where hair starts thinning with eventual balding due to increased hormonal sensitivity of your hair follicles. Patients with thyroid disorder can have more hair fall along with AGA. the end goal for AGA is to stop the progression of disease and thicken out the affected thin hair. you would require treatment like minoxidil, finasteride, prp , laser and hair threads to treat the existing condition. Remember, with these or other non-surgical treatment, the progression of the disease like thinning and hair fall can be stopped and thickness of the hair can be restored to some extent which should be sufficient in most of the cases. However, medical treatment do not regrow new roots. PRP is an effective therapy but can not be used as the sole therapy for preventing hair loss. It has to be accompanied by other topical or oral treatment to have a proper effect
