Hi,
Why do doctor recommended NO to intercourse during the first trimester, although, doctors say that it's perfectly safe to have intercourse during pregnancy as the baby is safe in a placenta.
Could you please help me out in this as I'm in the first trimester

Doctors recommend against intercourse during first three months of pregnancy because they don't know how the pregnancy is going to behave (especially in first pregnancy when we know nothing about past performance).
Secondly if it is a gentle intercourse then it is all right. But it may not always be so.
So Doctors are giving a safe advice with the safety of mother and baby in mind.
