Sir. Now I am using 50units of insulin novomax30 per day which is not affordable in terms of cost.can it replaced by mixard30 which is low cost and affordable. Tell me sir, what is exact difference between them in terms of action.

these 2 drugs are not totally same , as mixtard 30 has peak action during 2 hours to 12 hrs after injection but novomix 30 will have peak action during 2 to 6 hrs after injection. so clearly there is major difference in terms of duration of peak action of drug .but if cost is a issue then u can adjust to mixtard 30 but dosing is to be redined i.e. number of units required to control blood sugar is to be recallibrated ...
