Hello sir thank you for your valuable question. Now a days insomnia  is very common. The exact cause of insomnia is differ from person to persone. Only taking medication is not the cure of  insomnia but if you want a good result then it is very important to go to the root cause of insomnia. Insomnia is totaly curable with proper meditation yoga and diet if you consult me online i will guide you in a proper way with some panchkarma procedures which you can do at home also.

take regulerly a lukewarm milk at bed time also massage your sole of foot with lukewarm oil at night. use dim light and some silent music to improve your sleep . also do some meditation and yoga daily in morning.

Underlying cause for insomnia needs to be identified, and then any medication can be prescribed or suggested. Is it stress, is issue with falling asleep or continuing the sleep? Do you have any other ailments? A detailed consultation is advisable before any medication is advised. Mean while try drinking warm milk + dry fig cooked in it for a minute or two.

*निद्रानाश के कारन* :- नावनं लंघनं चिंता व्यायामः शोकभीरुषः ।। एभिरेव भवेन्निद्रानाश श्लेष्मातिसंक्षयात् ।। नस्य(नाक में तिक्ष्ण औषधि तेल आदि डालना), लंघन(उपवास) करना, चिंता ज्यादा करना, व्यायाम के अधिक्यसे, शोक, डर, गुस्सा आदी मानसिक वेगोंके अतियोग से निद्रानाश होता है, शरीर में कफ का क्षय होनेसे निद्रानाश निद्राल्पता होती है. *अकाल निद्रा रोगकारक*:- अकालशायनान्मोहज्वरस्तैमित्यपिनसाः।। शिरोरुकशोफहृल्लास्रोतोरोधाग्निमंदताः ।।(वा.सु. ८/६०) अकाल सोने से मूर्छा(चक्कर), ताप(बुखार), शरीर में गिलापन महसूस होना, पीनस(सर्दी), सिरदर्द, सूजन, मुह में पानी आना, शरीर में अवरोध निर्माण होना, भूक मंद होना ऐसी तकलीफ उत्पन्न होती है. *निद्रानाश के लिए कुछ उपाय* महीषिक्षिरं स्वप्नजननानामं । (च.सु.) कफ क्षीण हुआ है ऐसे व्यक्तियों में भैंस का दुध कफवर्धन करके निद्रानाश कम करने वाला होता है. अन्य कफवर्धक पदार्थोंका उपयोग भी निद्रानाश के लिए होता है, उसका योग्य वैद्यकीय सलाह से उपयोग करें. *बाह्योपचार* :- नित्य तेल से अभ्यंग करना, उद्वर्तन, स्नान आदि का योग्य सलाह से उपयोग किया जाय तो निद्रानाश में उपयोग होगा. *मन के लिए उपाय*:- प्राणायाम, अनुलोम विलोम इन अष्टांग योग का उपयोग यम नियम का पालन मनके आरोग्य के लिए कर सकते है. शिरोधारा, घी का नस्य, तर्पण, मन पे काम करनेवाली औषधियों का उपयोग आदि उपक्रमों का मनोदुष्टिजन्य निद्रानाश में किया जा सकता है.

Do not use homeremidies blindly If insomnia is longstanding  then consult  doctor ayurveda therapies like shirodhara  definitely  give  result You can take nutmeg powder 1/4 TSP  to the warm milk and take it in night
