As you have pointed out, you need to reset your biological clock. This requires you to not sleep at 8 am and stay awake till night. Wake up at a fixed time everyday even if you havent slept at night. Your sleep will then regularize.
If you cant do this or this isnt working, see a psychiatrist who will prescribe some meds after diagnosing underlying causes.

Sleep is a complex system with several physiological and psychological factors. Sleeplessness is usually due to specific underlying cause. It's important to identify and treat the cause. In your case although you report impaired biological clock, other causes such as psychological, physical, abnormal experiences during sleep etc needs ruling out.
Next Steps
practice good sleep hygiene techniques, lifestyle modifications like regular exercise, relaxation, yoga, meditation etc. Read my blog on this topic on www.mindcarebangalore.com. For your biological clock issues, gradually bring forward your waking up time by an hour or so every week which should help you to sleep early too. Follow other sleep hygiene techniques as in my blog. if problem persists, then consult a sleep specialist as we need to rule out other underlying causes and consider medicines
