From last week I'm taking an antibiotic through IV for UTI infection. In hospital they inserted iv cannula and they removed after three days after that my hand got swelled and reduced now but when I touched the
vein it is hard and I'm getting pain sister told that keep an ice pack. Can I connect the new IV cannula for the same vein of different location?

Prefer a different vein on opposite arm as the other vein is inflamed already. To avoid this vein from getting inflamed as well,
keep the site dry and clean.
Apply ice pack on the already inflamed vein.
