Inositol for Pcos
I have PCOS and struggle with weight loss despite trying to manage my diet. I also have irregular periods, sometimes delayed by up to 2 months. My thyroid and other tests are normal, and I don't have any other known medical conditions. Would taking Inositol supplement help regulate my periods and support weight management? Is it safe for me, and what dosage would you recommend?

Your main concern regarding irregular periods and inability to loose weight revolves around PCOS. Your main goal should be to maintain a well balanced nutritional diet, see a dietician and focus on working out 5 days a week, 30 minutes a day. Regarding inositol, it is just regarded as a supplement to help reverse insulin sensitivity and improve chances of conception! Don’t rely on inositol entirely. For dose and recommendations, consult personally.

Inositol is a well studied supplement for PCOS. Research shows it can help restore regular ovulation and periods, improve insulin sensitivity, and support modest weight loss alongside diet changes. It's generally considered safe for most women, including with longer term use.
Next Steps
Ask your gynaecologist about starting it, since the right form and how long to take it should fit your weight, cycle pattern, and whether you're trying to conceive. Keep up your diet and activity alongside it, since that strengthens the effect.
Health Tips
Stop and check with your doctor if you notice stomach upset or anything unusual after starting it.
