Induced labor
Hi Sir / Madam, I am 39 weeks pregnant. Dec 17 is my due date. Baby is in cephalic position.Last week I had internal examination and doctor said cervix is not opened. And doctor told to wait till dec 16 for natural pain. If I dint get pain they asked to go for induced labor. Baby is 3kg and AFI is around 10. Kindly suggest can I wait for pain to start naturally or can I go with induced labor. After induction is normal delivery will happen ? Please help me on this.

U may uptil dec 16 not beyond that for spontaneous labour There are chances of induction failure and fetal distress with induction of labour At that time ur obstetrician will consider cesarean section

You have to go for induction  .many factors  involved  for normal delivery hence cannot  be predicted.

U need to admit at 40 weeks for induction of labour Induction of labour does hv a chance of failure n u may end up in a cesarean but waiting beyond 40 weeks may prove detrimental in view of muconium n reduced liquor
