Increase in platelet count
My father had vomiting and loose motions been admitted to hospital Champlain of dehydration and lose of electrolyte Is recovered and discharge on 7/4/2022 Now his CBC report platelet increase 629 Else other parameters are normal May i know reason Do this dangerous?

Your father had gastroenteritis due to which he was having vomiting and loose motion which led to dehydration. So the cause of incread platelet count according to your history  can be infection and sever dehydration. When you ask a question you should provide a detailed history what was the platelet count before . If it's bothering you so much then repeat the test after few days from a different laboratory. See smart man doctor treats a patient on the basis of condition of the patient and reports not only reports ok. We treat patients not report's. Don't worry it should settle in few days. Keep him hydrated.
