Increase in CA125 level
My mother was diagnosed with ovarian cyst [CA125 post diagnostic was 49] later was admitted for cyst removal and was removed successful. Before operation CA 125 was carried on two occasions with a gap of 2 days[1st time it came 49 and later it came 53] post operation which was laproscopic operation a CA125 was repeated with a value of 16 along with this PET CT was done which came out to be normal with some black spot near the operated region and some black dots in chest area other test like histopathy showed non invasive elements. An oncologist suggest that the rise in CA 125 [49 to 54] is not normal and denotes some invasive elements might we there in body so he suggested removal of nodes and other parts near ovarian. Is this a right thing to do?
