So, I went to a doctor and he told me that it is gastritis, which is some due to eating too much spices. And I agree with that. But I still have two questions : If it is due to spicy still there is a moment when I felt like heaviness in my cheat, unable to breathe, feeling smthn and getting nervous and thinking what it is even when i didn't eat anything spicy. Second it even happend when I was watchin a show and some scene made me nervous and I started feeling it again, but I wanna ask, since I study in a college where I don't need to go regularly, so I sleep around 6 am in the morning and wake up around 4 pm (also coz I have been depressed 2 years ago), and then when I wake up I have my lunch and have dinner around 12 am or smthn. I just wanna know since my family hates this schedule of mine, but I am like this only and I feel comfortable too (GEN Z LIFESTYLE yk) do you think this schedule is not okay? and it could be a reason of what I feel? or what.

Two things are going on here. The chest heaviness with breathlessness and sudden nervousness while watching a show is not gastritis - that is a panic/anxiety episode, and your reflux makes the chest feeling worse. Sleeping at 6 am, lunch at 4 pm and dinner at midnight is exactly what keeps both the acidity and the anxiety running, so yes, this schedule is a real reason for what you feel. Shift sleep earlier by 2 hours over the next 2 weeks, eat at fixed times, avoid spicy food and caffeine after evening, and with a past depression history please get properly assessed rather than self-labelling. If chest pain ever comes with sweating, fainting or radiates to the arm or jaw, go to casualty the same hour. Book a consult with me on Practo and we will sort the gastritis and the anxiety part together.
It's worth separating two things here. The gastritis diagnosis may well explain some of your stomach symptoms, but the chest heaviness, breathlessness, and nervousness you're describing — especially since it's happened without spicy food and even during a stressful moment in a show — points more toward an anxiety-related response than a digestive one. These two can definitely overlap and even worsen each other, but treating it as 'just gastritis' may miss the anxiety piece, which is worth addressing directly, especially given your history. On the sleep schedule — regardless of framing, a consistently inverted sleep-wake cycle (sleeping at 6am, one meal essentially merged with dinner near midnight) does affect digestion, appetite regulation, and can worsen anxiety and gastritis symptoms independent of what you eat, so it's a real contributing factor, not just a lifestyle preference issue. I'd suggest a consult so we can look at the anxiety symptoms and the gastritis together, rather than one masking the other.
Unusual sleeping patterns, leaving your stomach empty for a long time could certainly worsen the gastritis or GERD.Tightness of the chest could be due to gastric issues, anxiety.Do follow a specific, normal sleeping schedule and a healthy diet
Your symptoms can be related to gastritis or acid reflux, but chest heaviness or chest pain and difficulty breathing due to acute stress disorder can also happen with anxiety. Your current sleep timing is quite shifted and may disturb your body clock.

Most likely: Your symptoms may be related to gastritis/reflux, but chest heaviness, breathlessness and nervousness can also occur with anxiety/panic episodes, especially when triggered by stressful situations.
Next Steps
Improve your sleep schedule, avoid late-night heavy/spicy meals, caffeine and smoking, and continue the treatment prescribed by your doctor.
Health Tips
You can consult me with your symptoms and previous reports for a detailed assessment and appropriate next steps.
* Gradually shift bedtime/wake time earlier by 30–60 minutes every few days rather than changing it suddenly.
* Aim for 7–9 hours of sleep consistently.
* Get sunlight/daylight and some physical activity after waking.
* Avoid large/spicy meals, caffeine/energy drinks and lying down for 2–3 hours after eating.
* Keep a symptom diary: note food, sleep, stress, heart rate/palpitations and duration of episodes.
Health Tips
If an episode occurs, sit somewhere comfortable and try slow breathing (for example, inhale gently for 4 seconds and exhale for 6 seconds) rather than repeatedly checking your breathing or worrying about what is happening.
