Idiopathic oedema
Hi All I'm 23 years old. I've idiopathic oedema. It started since last year. My ankle swells and it hurts almost everyday. What are the physical exercises that I can go for? Is running favourable?

Hello causes of edema may be: 1. Check proteins levels in your body by blood study. 2. If you have sedentary lifestyle you can have pedal edema. 3. If your bloodstudies are fine and your kidney functions are fine you can wear a compressive socks to reduce the edema. 4. Regularly move your ankle and do calf stretches to reduce the edema. Regards.

Hello,, edema could not be idiopathic ..trauma could be the cause for unilateral edema.. And if it's bilateral edema if could be due to venous compression by increased intraabdominal pressure Obesity even causes edema. Elevated your leg with few pillows .. Walk daily .
