Diabetic foot / oedema
A diabetic patient. She had undergone skin grafting on her left leg 2 years . For the past one month there is continuous oozing of water from her left leg. Ooozing of blood was there for a day, but it has stopped. There is a wound on the left leg, due to which she is on anti-biotics. (Oedema on both legs) She is taking medicines for fluid retenton, anti-biotics for infection and diabetes

Diabetic foot should be treated by a team.of...diabetologist, orthopaedic surgeon, physiotherapist,orthotics. .and a plastic surgeon. .if there is a centre nearby please consult. It's a difficult disease to treat..so the team is the basic necessity.

Hi Since she is diabetic healing period is prolonged in this Condition .... As already mentioned she is been covered with anti edema measures, antibiotics, and good control of diabetes..... She might need hospital stay .... Kindly consult physician for complete evaluation as pedal edema could be due to various other serious conditions as well...
