Mushy or powdery stools are not necessarily unhealthy stools. The goal is a soft, formed stool that passes without excessive straining, rather than trying to make every bowel movement perfectly “sausage-shaped.” In IBS, stool consistency can fluctuate with food, stress, sleep pattern and bowel motility. The fact that your weight seems to increase when stools are firmer and decrease after loose/mushy stools is usually related to water and intestinal contents, not actual gain or loss of body fat. Regarding Stop IBS, Mustakarishta, Shelcal-HD and Uprise-D3 60K, they should not automatically be continued for 3–6 months simply because they are helping. The appropriate duration depends on why each was started, the formulation/dose and your response. In particular, calcium and vitamin-D preparations should have a clear indication rather than being continued indefinitely.
Next Steps
I would suggest focusing first on regularising stool consistency rather than trying to suppress bowel movements. Your dietary pattern, Agni, bowel habit, stress, sleep and IBS pattern should be assessed before deciding whether Stop IBS or Mustakarishta needs to be continued, reduced or stopped. A 3–6 month course should not be taken automatically without periodic clinical review. Health Tips
For firmer, well-formed stools, maintain regular meal timings, adequate hydration and gradual dietary fibre, rather than suddenly increasing fibre. Foods such as oats, rice, banana, cooked vegetables and other soluble-fibre sources may be better tolerated than very large amounts of raw salad or bran if you have IBS. Limit excessive oily foods, very spicy foods, alcohol and foods that you have personally noticed trigger mushy stools. Regular walking/exercise and adequate sleep are also important for bowel regulation. Don't judge your health by day-to-day weighing: a change of 0.5–1 kg around bowel movements is commonly fluid/stool variation and does not represent equivalent fat loss or gain. Thank you

Hello, I understand your concern - mushy, powdery stool with weight loss is distressing. In Ayurveda this is Grahani / IBS with Agnimandya. Firmer, sausage-shaped stool comes when Agni is corrected, not by long-term use of Stop IBS or supplements Please book a private consultation - I can guide you with a safe, sustainable plan after detailed history.
Next Steps
Stop IBS, Mustakarishta, Shelcal HD, Uprise D3 60K should not be taken continuously for 3-6 months without medical supervision - calcium and Vit D need monitoring, and IBS medicines need root-cause correction.
Health Tips
With proper diet, gut routine and personalized Ayurvedic correction, stools can become firm and weight stable.

“Stop-IBS and Mustakarishta should not be continued for 3–6 months automatically; the duration depends on your symptoms and response, and long-term use should be supervised. Stop-IBS is a multi-herbal digestive formulation, while Mustakarishta is a fermented preparation. For mushy/powdery stools, the goal is to identify why stool consistency is abnormal rather than simply increasing medicines. Adequate fluids, regular meals, soluble fibre and gradual dietary correction can help. Shelcal-HD and Uprise-D3 60K should also be continued according to your vitamin D/calcium reports and doctor's advice rather than indefinitely. The repeated weight change you describe with bowel movements also needs evaluation. Please consult me with your recent reports, weight history and current doses so I can assess your digestion and suggest a suitable plan.”
