Usually dental procedures like removal of tooth, third molar removal etc should be avoided during 1st trimester (month 1,2,3) and 3rd trimester (month 7,8,9) .As far as whitening is concerned , it's safe procedure.
Treatment can be done during the 2nd trimester of pregnancy, I.e. 4-6month of pregnancy.
Consult a dentist and check with him/her wat needs to be done.
Mostly a runs of cleanup will help.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist. And maintain a good oral hygiene.
Usually during pregnancy the oral hygiene is compromised...so since it is it second trimester its safe to carry out a routine cleaning of the teeth...any procedure apart from this needs your gynecs consent.
You can safely do cleaning and polishing ( scaling of teeth) . In fact it is recommended that you take extra care of your gums and teeth during pregnancy as hormone changes can affect the gums. Brush twice daily and use a dental floss if possible.
Health Tips
Avoid bleaching at this time but you can use any whitening toothpastes for a few weeks if you want
