I don't know since when I have this problem. I really don't like the noises of someone has cold or someone is eating. Googled about it & got to know that this disease exist with a name 'Misophonia'
Even the normal sounds of polite eating and other repetitive sounds is agonizing.
Its is worse if you're not eating at the same time. I hate listening to people eat but can stand it if I'm eating too as long as but if I'm not eating I have to leave the room. It's so bad. When you say something and that person takes it as a joke, so they do it louder on purpose. I literally cry.
I have to leave the room. It makes my skin crawl. People never understand.
I wish I didn't have it!!! I wish I could just "let it go", if only it were that easy. Misophonia is hell.
Is this can be treated?
