I have itching in my vulval region
I have vulval itching from 3-4 months, flares before & after periods. During periods no discomfort. It feels nice with cold water. I also have white discharge but that's before this problem. I have noticed foul smell from my groin area. I had fungal infection in my inner thighs a year ago , but no problem of it now. What should I do next & why it's happening what could be the cause, can you please prescribe some medicine. Thankyou

Itching that flares around your periods, with white discharge and a groin smell, points toward a fungal infection such as candidiasis, especially given your past fungal infection in the inner thighs. The smell could also mean a mild bacterial imbalance alongside it, and these two need different treatments.

A vaginal swab test will show exactly which infection you have, so please see a gynaecologist before starting any cream or tablet. Keep the area dry, wear breathable cotton underwear, and avoid scented soaps or douches.

Don't repeat your old fungal cream without a current test, since treating the wrong infection won't clear the itching or smell.
