Hi parent , your little information about the issues you are facing needs to be elaborated to help us give you proper suggestions . Probably when kids are good in academics our expectation level increases & we do not realise how much we need to expect from that child . The child is trying to be obedient for that matter/ not able to directly express his likes & dislikes , but fulfilling our wishes. He is a growing adolescent !

For the problem which you are discussing need further assessment. For detailed history, you must plan a visit with a psychiatrist so that more information can be taken by you and the child too.in fact his friends or siblings or teacher should also be asked regarding this, these are very delicate issues, you have to keep yourself in his place and try to discuss with him initiating with neutral topics, his areas of interest and then gradually move to main reason if possible
Next Steps
First you should try to talk, otherwise you can plan a visit with the doctor

Hello, Your stress is understandable when a bright student as your child is showing resistance to go to school. Understanding the reasons for such behaviour can help in dealing with the situation in a better manner. Asking open ended questions as to what he likes about his school, what he dislikes about the school, what changes according to him can be made. Building his acceptance of school can be initiated by choosing to talk about a favourite subject, teacher , classmate and than addressing other concerns. The reassurance that a solution can be worked out and your support can encourage him. Asking about his goals and how he can achieve them with good education can be a motivational factor. Communication with the teachers and his friends can additionally be of significant value. I wish you and your child success. You can consult for further professional guidance. Happy Healthy Living!

School refusal in children are usually a telltale sign of a hidden problem.  While, it may seem like an excuse most of the times its not. Especially that fact that he ends up coming back.  Please take him for help. I would love to contribute
