I am scared I will die
“Today, while standing outside near trees in the dark, I suddenly felt something small and flying brush the right side of my nose and then my right eyelashes. The nose was little burning sensation I did not see a bat or know what it was. I became worried it might have been a bat. My previous rabies vaccination was completed, with my last regular dose on 07/12/2025, and I later received booster doses on 06/03/2026, 09/03/2026, and 02/04/2026 I am scared and can't focus on studies

If there is abrasion or bite mark, take 2 booster doses of anti rabies vaccine,  otherwise no need to worry.

First of all relax do not panic Don’t worry. From what you described, there was no confirmed bite, scratch, or definite bat contact, so the risk appears very low. Since you have already completed rabies vaccination u need not be scared but , you should still contact a rabies clinic u dont need immunoglobulin but u may need 2 doses of rabies vaccine i.e day 0 and day 3 only if there is skin breach . Or if you are unsure whether it was a bat or if there was any direct contact with your face , eyes. Also Wash the area with soap and water and avoid worrying or repeatedly checking it.

Rabies is not transmitted by a brief brush against intact skin or by simply seeing a bat; transmission requires a bite, scratch or saliva contact with broken skin or the eyes/mouth. Wash the area with soap and running water. If there is any possible bite/scratch, mark on the skin, or saliva exposure, seek an anti-rabies clinic today despite previous vaccination. If you remain unsure, book a Practo consult so I can review the exposure and vaccine record.
Next Steps
If no bite, scratch or saliva contact occurred, no rabies treatment is needed for this event. If any mark or uncertain exposure is present, wash thoroughly and attend an anti-rabies clinic today for risk assessment.

If you have any scratch mark with bleeding immediately after contact of bat , u need booster dose of ARV (Anti-Rabes vaccine).. Whenever u have doubt or dilemma of whether to have rabies vaccination or NOT means --> best option is to have the ARV , since there is no medication alternative to ARV .
