White discharge in early pregnancy is very common and usually normal — it is called leukorrhea, caused by increased estrogen levels. As long as there is no bad odour, itching or burning, it is nothing to worry about. If it is thick and cottage cheese-like with itching, that could indicate a yeast infection which needs treatment.
Next Steps
If no itching, odour or pain — no action needed, just keep the area clean with water. Get your first trimester ultrasound done to confirm a healthy pregnancy. If you notice itching or foul odour, consult your gynaecologist. Consult me on Practo for more pregnancy queries.
