Blood tests for Vit B12 and Eletrodiagnostics (EMG/NCV) for your peripheral nervous system. Still, I recommend a consult for proper evaluation and management.

You have symptoms of peripheral neuropathy.. which seems severe enough to have caused muscle wasting and weakness.. Approach would be from your symptoms whether the symptoms started in your feet or hands , if on onset it was symmetric as in starting in right or left limbs together.. this will be evident from a detail history.. since you are just  28 years would be useful to look into any family members being affected by similar type of illnesses An medical clincial exam will add more to look for signs of the cause An EMG-NCS which is a  study of nerves which is easily done in many cities will help in localising which nerves are affected and what type of affection is there
Next Steps
please consult a good clinical neurologist as there are many causes for peripheral neuropathy ..but which further tests required will depend on the clincial context
Health Tips
Gabapentin will just relieve you of the painful sensations not cure the disorder..so don't wait for long
