Hello there. TPO ANTIBODIES (TPoAB) are auto antibodies against the thyroperoxidase enzyme. If your TSH is in normal state, then its called euthyroid. So even in euthyroid patients with a high TPoAB constitutes a great risk in pregnancy in ways that your hypothyroidism may worsen, chances of miscarriage, preterm delivery, perinatal death all increases. The thyroid dysfunction post delivery may also increase. There can be impaired motor or intellectual development in the offspring therefore yes it can affect the brain of the offspring. A regular checkup and a close watch is required through the whole period of pregnancy. Regards
