I had my checkup done and my TSH was 38.55 which was way higher than it should have been. I'm gaining weight bcoz of this. What should be my next step?

Raised TSH suggests you are deficient in thyroxine hormone and as such would need thyroxine replacement therapy . You weight gain is indeed likely to be the symptom of under active thyroid gland.
