Hyperventilating
I have suffered from panic attacks few times.Earlier it happened due to some emotional outburst but few times it had happened that when i am asleep any sudden loud awakes me up with heavy breathing and fast heartbeat.It is not even due to any nightmare. Do i need some special treatment for it. I mean some sort of counselling or medication would help.

These are symptoms of stress. Something is bothering you continuously. I would suggest you to first go for physical examination. Consult any physician. If everything is ok n stll you having the aforesaid symptoms then you should need to consult a psychotherapist.
