Kindly note down BP findings of 3 consecutive days for twice daily in sitting position after 15 mins of rest. Consult with the findings , you may need to start medication with lifestyle modifications.
160/110 mm hg BP is stage 2 hypertension.However you cannot depend on one reading.You monitor your blood pressure reading in the morning and evening for a few days.As you are very young with high blood pressure ,suggesting medicine is not appropriate without clinical examination, ECG and echo ,plus blood investigations . Consult with a general physician in your area.
To term someone hypertensive,there must be a minimum of three consecutive days BP measurements more than 140/90 mm hg.there must be at least 10mins gap between reaching the hospital and BP measurement so as to reduce external stress.
Initial you can start with T.amlong 5mg once in morning and do serial BP recording. Few blood investigations to be done. Preferably you can take any health checkup packages available in various labs.(test to be done CBC,LFT,RFT,LIPID PROFILE,Urine routine,ECG)

To reduce salt consumption,reduce oil consumption and avoid oily food, fried foods and fast foods. To do minimum of 30mins physical activity exercise daily at least 5 days a week.
