Hyper active ADHD problem

My son is 6 yrs old he is suffering from ADHD doctor suggested to use concreta 18 mg ... Is it safe to use at the of 6, is there any side effects please suggest. Thank you.

Yes usually we give drug holidays. Like avoid it on Sundays and holidays. Plus do other concentration exercises with him. Grain sorting. Cutting out e s in a paragraph, cut different colour squares and shapes and ask to sort colour wise and shape wise. Etc. Spot differences in activity books.
