Hydronephrosis urine infection
5 months son has urine infection (full field pus cells with 3+ albuminuria) and ultrasound has hydronephrosis of one kidney, one kidney is normal. After starting antibiotic for one week, now child is having 4-5 pus cells but protein is still 3+. Pls tell why protein is not getting better. Thanks Is protein because of infection only. Pls reply

This severe form of uti usually takes a lot of time to heal , months actually , so mostly the protein is due to infection abut regular evaluation at a good tertiary care setup is ideal
