HTO for bow legs
I'm 23 YO. I have bow legs . My knees are 13 cm apart while standing. Doctor has recommended me to undergo high tibial osteotomy for both my legs. I'm just worried about intense pain after the surgery and recovery time. Can anyone help me after how many days I'll be able to get back to normal? And for how many days the pain will be very intense ? For How many months should I take leave from office ?

This is a routine procedure, done for bow knee. Intense pain normally last for a day or two. You will have to protect your knees for atleast 6 weeks, following which, you can weight bear on that. So around 1 and half month is the recovery time.
