Tobacco addiction is just a psychological addiction. No physical symptoms appear on quitting it except for psychological craving. One cam quit it if you have the motivation and willpower. You have to take up the responsibility and not transfer it to friends and circumstances.
Next Steps
Contact a Psychiatrist.

Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. Smoking is an addiction. Any addiction need a mindset change to overcome. Just by adopting simple external efforts like electric cigarettes or necotine chewing gums etc can only give temporary relief. Better take a counseling support to assess yourself first to get deep into your emotional stability and understand the emotional triggers or stress that induce the thoughts about the need for smoke . This understanding will help to identify the change in either lifestyle routines, dietary or exercise, self therapies that can help you overcome this addiction permanently. Feel free to reach out to me online for further evaluation and recommendation.
