It all depends Need to understand the symptoms type severity of the issue. What's your reason for not opting medicine? Psychotherapy helps a lot in ocd Consult with me or any psychologist for therapy and counseling online or in person All the best

Kindly start with medication..... Initial treatment  consist  of 3mths duration  of a medicine with adquate  dose and then we need to wait for remmison  period which is of 6mths duration. Then maintance  dose to be continued. Along with  medication  you also. Need to go for psychotherapy (CBT).... It also is a useful  treatment  for ocd

It depends upon your symptoms. Therapy can help in some symptoms. 8 years is a long time and I feel you may need medicines. If the medicines you've taken before are causing some side effects/discomfort, you should follow up with your treating Psychiatrist and inform about the same. Changing the dose and/or medicine might help.
