How do I know if I have ADHD?
My social worker from DCFS says that I have ADHD but I don't see it. May you please explain it to me briefly?

Thank you for asking. ADHD is an attention deficit hyperactive disorder. Not able to maintain concentration, not able to rest at one place, poor academic performance, poor Intelligence development, etc due to not able to attend or concentrate are few cardinal symptoms of it. It is usually diagnosis in early childhood. The problem starts from. The age ekf 5 to 7 yrs of age. They tend to persist and interfere with functioning through the out the childhood. In adolescent age, the presentation may differ. Depression, irritability, etc can be seen in later age. Although, a detailed and thorough workup of problem is needed as the treatment for ADHD is very specific. It can be controlled. But a psychiatric consultation  is must.
