Hot body no fever
Hi! Doctor My son age 7.8yrs. has fever with watery cold with out any cough from last 2 days. We consulted our pediatrician he has declared viral fever. But most of the time  we could see body is hot but when we check temperature using thermometer it shows 98.6 f. And some time 99.7f then I am giving calpol 250mg. My worry is why there is hot body with no fever sign most of the time. Pls suggest. Regards Prashanth.B

Change the thermometer & see . If there is no documented fever temperature more than 100 degrees don’t give any medicine . Let him drink water & stay in comfortable room
