HIV exposure
I worked with a client who has HIV. There was potential for exposure as they pulled out their cannula and there was a lot of blood. I wore gloves but I can’t remember if any got on me. Two days later I got a cold/flu that lasted 2 weeks, I had a headache, runny/blocked nose, fatigue, change in taste and nausea. Now I have oral thrush. Have I contracted HIV?
