Hit and run ocd
Hi Mam/Sir, In year 2019 I was getting late to office so I was driving fast. But suddenly a group of cow came in front of me. There were two cowboys handling them and from opposite side the big truck was coming. Then I started to bypass the cows but then truck has to slide off the road. It happened! But I feel that it may have hit one of the cowboy, i don't know. Now I feel very guilty and anxious for the incident. I don't know what happened to cowboy. I need to know. Will local police help me in that case? Anxiety is building day by day. I am not able to concentrate on my work. I am wasting my life due to this thoughts. What should I do? My career is at stake.  Please help me!

It seems you are experiencing guilt and persistent anxiety about a past incident, possibly leading to intrusive thoughts and distress. I can help you work through this using Trauma-Focused CBT and relaxation strategies to reduce the emotional burden and regain control over your life. You are not alone, and healing is possible. Furthermore mindfulness techniques to manage your emotions for further work-related concentration can be a way out to help you. If it eases your mind, you could also contact the local police for closure. Connect for sessions to work this out for you.

It seems to be post traumatic stress disorder. It needs to be treated asap otherwise it may get complicated. It can be treated well with counseling sessions and homeopathic medicine effectively. It needs to be treated in a holistic approach for complete recovery. You need an expert psychologist who is a good homeopathic physician.

It’s natural to feel anxious and guilty about incidents where the outcomes are uncertain. This shows your sense of responsibility and empathy, which are admirable traits. However, holding on to past incidents without clarity can lead to unnecessary distress. Let’s focus on finding closure and moving forward positively.
Next Steps
Visit the Local Police Station: Explain the situation to them with all the details you remember. They can check records or let you know if any incident was reported during that time. Seek Professional Counseling: Sometimes, sharing your feelings in a safe, guided environment can significantly reduce anxiety and help you gain clarity. Look for Information Locally: If you can, visit the area where the incident occurred to gather insights from people who might know what happened.

Hi, Thanks for reaching out. I understand how stressful and overwhelming this experience must have been for you. Guilt is a natural response to an incident like that and the intense anxiety is because you are assuming t worst case scenario . Talking to the local police is one way to calm your fears but your fears will be persistent if you don’t get the answers you’re looking for. It’s important to first deal with and work on the thoughts that are leading to the extreme anxiety first. One way to reduce your anxiety is to think of other possible outcomes apart from the one that you assume has certainty happened ? And even if the worst has happened, what are the things you can do which are within your control? What are the various things you can learn from this situation? Even though it seems difficult at the moment it’s essential you treat yourself as you would treat a close friend or a family member right now, with compassion and kindness. A counsellor can help you achieve this and guide you on how you can work on challenging your inner critical voice which is making you view yourself poorly and also on how you can work on forgiving yourself. It’s important to remember that everyone makes mistakes and engages in actions for which they feel sorry or regretful. Falling into the trap of self hatred or rumination can be damaging and make it difficult to maintain your self esteem and motivation.
Next Steps
Reach out to a counsellor who practices Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) as they will help you work on your distressing and unhelpful thoughts.

Hi, I understand what you are going through and it really takes courage to admit that you were a part of this mishappenning situation. You must need to realise that the action that you have taken was for your own safety and your intention was not to hurt anyone. But if you still want to be sure you can always check with the local police authorities if anyone was hurt during this incident. Apart from this I think you also need to connect to a psychologist or a counsellor who can help you with these feelings of guilt and anxiety and also make you realise your potential at work and how much more productive you need to become and work on your mental wellbeing. Please connect with me as I can help with by working with a couple of methods that can be beneficial for you in the long run.
