What are precautions to be taken for a hip replacement surgery and what is needed in post operative care ? Can a 64 year old with replacement surgery get to walk like before ever ?

General precautions include not bring the two legs close together and rotating them inwards , squatting and cross legged sitting is to be avoided ! Rest of precautions depends on type of implant and the indication for surgery The walking will be more or less normal if procedure went well

Yes can walk normally. Only squatting on the floor is not allowed.
