I consult with the nearby doctor, He took x-ray of Hip bone and say's it is fracture.but I doubte, He want to perform a surgery on a 97 year old women who has a bed sore. what should I do.

What is advised by your doctor is Absolutely correct. He too knows risks involved in operating 93 years old but it is need of the time,once you become mobile major Heath issues due bed ridden state will start healing. So better to under go surgery.Thanks

She has got fracture.. without surgery she has to be on bed rest completely for 6 weeks. This will increase bed sore, clots in legs, lung infection etc If she is medically fit for surgery then day one she can walk after surgery with walker support

Fracture is there and needs surgery. But considering her age and bed sore, and if she was not walking prior to fall. No need to opt for surgery
