High sugar during 35th week pregnancy
LMP = 26th Jan 2021 Age = 27 Wt = 97kgs Attached sonography report done on 17th sep 2021 Blood sugar Report dated - 29th sep 2021 HBA1C = 7.8 FBS = 114.4 PPBS = 142.8 Presently taking Glyciphage 250mg (1-0-1) Doctor has advised to increase to 500mg (1-0-1) Since sugar coming down slowly hence doctor advised to increase to Glyciphage 500mg (2-0-2). Please advise if any complications in increasing dosage. Also if any complications may arise for delivery?

1st drug of choice during pregnancy for diabetes is insulin. 2nd is metformin. There is no harm in taking high dose of metformin but control your sugar levels are very important.. If it's not getting controlled with tablets then it's better to start insulin injections.
