Hello,
I got my full body test results yesterday and for the first time the iron levels are way too high.
They were normal in January and have been never high before.
The only thing I did was I have been consuming spinach smoothie daily since January. Also I cook in iron kadai. since last month I was having nausea and diarrhea, green stools, lot of gas and I thought it's acidity.
I also take mcbm-69 daily.
Serum Iron - 254, lab range 60-180.(Attached report)
I am worried. Will they go down when I leave spinach or I should go see a doctor? I read it causes cancer and brain damage .

your convenience for consultation.
Please also mention your Hb level.
Your serum Iron is high but Total Iron Binding Capacity is also high (though it is still within range) but with such high Iron level TIBC should have been low.
I suggest you should stop Iron (tablet or Capsules) , continue with spinach and other non pharmacological treatment, and get repeat CBC from some other Laboratory.
Please do not panic, serum iron value is deranged. It will go down as you stop taking extra iron in your diet. Though your TIBC and ferritin level is normal ig. So do not worry.
