High Hemoglobin
I am 37 year old female, I am attaching my cbc report, is it ok , why do I have such high hemoglobin , I am worried about it I read in practo we shall donate blood for high hemoglobin, yesterday before donation they checked my hemoglobin was 16. What shall I do to decrease it, I am really worried please help

Hi …Most comman cause of high Hb is dehydration..decrease water quantity in blood , cause Concentrated blood which reflected as high Hb . Kindly have 2.5-3 liter fluid daily . Keep a bottle of water at your workplace , keep in mind … you have to drink water . Since Ur hb is on borderline so need to worry.. however if Your hb is persistentatly elevated & you feel weakness, breathing issue then visits near by physician or Heamatogiat . & do 1) Peripheral smear 2) 2 D echo 3) Bone marrow sos

Get a repeat blood test from another lab. Values slightly more than higher normal range  aren't of much significance. If you have no other health issues currently, you are okay.

No Need to worry for heamoglobin 15.3 Hemoglobin upto 16.0 is normal for female Most common cause of elevated Hb ( relative polycythemia ) is reduction in body water content. So keep yourself hydrated If you have any other sympotoms connect with a Doctor

Donate the blood it works as phlebotomy if blood bank allows. This procedure of removing amount of blood is done by md physician in hospital. No any problem. Don't worry.
