High Fever, shivering
From yesterday night my wife is suffering from high Fever, head ache, shivering. Please suggest some medicine till we consult a doctor

Hi there understand your concern... There are many conditions which present with fever... Fever may be due to urinary tract infection, respiratory tract infection, gastroenteritis, malaria, typhoid, dengue, tuberculosis, viral infection etc...so detalied examination and evaluation is necessary... Take over the counter paracetamol 650 mg thrice daily and do tepid sponging...Consult nearest physician they will do the needful

The only safe medicine at this point is paracetamol tablet 500mg SOS if fever is more than 100F.

It is a high time of Dengue and Malaria. Please ask her to take DOLO 650, every six hourly, see physician. Avoid Aspirin and NSAID meds. Also keep up with fluids to avoid dehydration.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  These days malaria, dengue and chikungunya are on the rise. As of now you can give her tab. Dolo 650mg thrice a day after food. Ask her to drink plenty of fluids.  Give her a soft diet. Consult a general physician in person and get the tests done which he suggests for further evaluation and management.  Best regards. Get a CBC, Malaria Antige, Dengue NS1, SGPT, Bilirubin, BUN, Creatinine, Urine routine done and consult a physician with your reports
