My son 9 years running fever , average 102
Giving metal p 5 mg every 6 hours and plan is to wait 3 days for further evaluation as he is pretty active other wise in between spikes
Pls advise right dose to follow with interval and max dose per day /per dose and time interval

Most fevers in children are viral in origin and take 3-7 days to subside completely.
If not accompanied by any other symptoms like vomiting or loose motions or coughing and breathlessness or dullness and refusal to feed,just give paracetamol for fever and repeat every 4 hours if required.
Meftal-p should be given in 2 conditions,if fever is 103 or above OR fever not reducing even after one hour of giving paracetamol.
Better to use combiflam if fever is 102.
