Hello May I know your child’s weight? Yes, Ibugesic Plus can be given in certain situations after paracetamol (Calpol) if high-grade fever persists, but it must be done cautiously and with correct dosing. First line: Calpol (Paracetamol) – 15 mg/kg every 6 hours Check if at least 2 hours have passed since last dose If fever remains high (>102–103°F) and child is uncomfortable: Ibugesic Plus (Ibuprofen + Paracetamol) can be given occasionally Not to be given regularly with paracetamol – avoid overlapping doses Dosage (Ibugesic Plus suspension): Usually 5–7.5 ml (based on weight ~12–14 kg) every 6–8 hours
Next Steps
Lukewarm sponging to reduce temperature Maintain hydration – fluids, ORS, coconut water, breastfeeds Encourage rest and avoid overdressing
