High fever in toddler
My daughter is 1 year old and 3 months. She had sudden fever 2 days back, PD advised T98 and wixodryl drops for first day and if it doesn't subside then to take augmentin and metfal. She is not having cough or cold or any other symptoms, its just the fever which rise suddenly when the medicine effectivity fades away in every about 4 hours and it rises to 103 F. She is eating and drinking in between as fever subsides but not yes to a normal extent. Taking proper breastfeed too and she starts running and playing as fever subsides. We are not able to understand the reason of fever? PD Diagnosed throat infection but we haven't seen any discomfort in throat. Also, is there possibility of throat infection without cough and cold? Also, is it normal for temperature to rise so much just because of throat infection? We have given just one dose of augmentin till now, how long augmentin starts showing improvement in a toddler? Thanks
